Students allege poor requirements put in place in examination Centre | KNO

Kupwara, November 03 (KNO) : The authorities in northern Kashmirs Kupwara district have failed to put in place all the requirements for the students appearing in part Two annual exams the students alleged that department is least bothered about the sufferings and future of students a group of students assembled in main town Kupwara here on Saturday told KNO. Students who assembled in main town Kupwara here alleged that, Yesterday hundreds of students who appeared in English paper at examination centre of 5122 at Kupwara public school were given paper about fifteen minutes late and taken back before more than twenty minutes.They told KNO that, As Per the official time we were supposed to take paper at 02:30PM but instead of that we were given paper at 02:45 PM and in the evening papers were taken back from us forcefully by the superintendent whom the students identified as, Khalid Nadeem Khan. The students said that, Nadeem forced us to give back the papers during the tenure a student namely, Irfan Sanuallh shah alleged that, he tore apart some of the pages of my answer sheet and took away my paper before fifteen minutes. Another student, Abdul Aziz Khawja of same centre alleged that, "We were forced to hand over the answer sheets before twenty minutes as granted by director school education", The staff members at the centre aren't cooperative. He said that, They didn’t cooperated with the students leaving us on gods sake during the day, our examination hall was dark from all the ends as they had not put in place any sort if lighting arrangement for the students.A madam among the staff members turned on the flashlight of her phone and after some time some other staff members also turned on their phone flashlights under which we managed to write our answer sheets.Despite harsh weather, Admit heavy rains in the day no heating arrangement was put in place for us (Students) which made us hard to attempt all the marks and we aren't sure whether we will qualify or not, Peerzada Faizan a student said.Students said that we seek intervention of Chief education officer Kupwara and district administration in this regard, We demand that, The faculty should be changed at the earnest if authorities care about the students future.I have also received compliant regarding the students, Who alleged that, "Answer-sheets were forcibly taken back and one had alleged that, my paper was toren apart", CEO Kupwara Shafiq Nabi War said. We will investigate the matter, “I’ll talk to the staff members and Superintend accordingly we will imitate the action in this regard”, "But there will be no relaxation from our end for the students".(KNO)
